Abstract : Tourism is a very necessary activity that places a kind of responsibility on humanity for the preservation of nature. The younger generation tended to spend more time and money on recreational activities which keep their headspace clear from unnecessary stress and burden. Travel and tourism were important activities in this regard. The spread of the pandemic was so rapid that the country itself entered a complete blockade and consequent shocks in all aspects of the economy.
Tourism is one of the evergreen industries in India, contributing 9.3% to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of in 2018; this figure was expected to increase to around 10% by 2028 (WTTC, 2020). However, the outbreak of this virus has crippled the tourism industry by threatening international and domestic tourists.
The study attempted to analyse the modifications that took place within side the travel and tourism industry because of the pandemic. The primary goal of the study is to identify both environment and economic effect of COVID-19 in Kashmir tourism.
The researcher has gathered each primary and secondary information for the study. The secondary statistics is accumulated from internet web sites, numerous journals, and magazines. The research has used tools like percentage analyses and rating technique for the study. From the study, the researcher concludes that, COVID 19 has massive effect in both environment and economic factors.
