Abstract : Pharmaceutical dosage forms such as capsules, tablets, suppositories, pills, creams, ointments, liquids, aerosols, and injectables are still commonly used today to treat both acute and chronic diseases. However, taking the various dosage forms multiple times a day, which causes a substantial variation in drug levels in a body, is necessary to keep the drug concentration within the therapeutically effective range for treatment. Therefore, novel drug delivery systems, such as niosomes, liposomes, nanopartical, microsphere, microemulsion, inedible pumps, magnetic microcapsules, etc., have been developed to reduce dose variation and frequency within the body.
