Abstract : The case was filed by the women against publication of obscene, defamatory and Vulgure messages about a divorced woman on various online groups . E-mails were also sent by the defendant to the victim for information via a fake e-mail account opened by him in the name of the victim.
The publication of the message resulted in annoying phone calls to the lady assuming she was begging. Based on a complaint filed by the victim in February 2004, police tracked the suspect to Mumbai and arrested him within days.
